Meet The Band

Colin is the heart of Flying Visit with his powerful vocals and solid guitar playing. Colin first formed a band in the seventies and Flying Visit was born in the late eighties.  He has the unique ability to read an audience and select songs so the band delivers the right blend of music to suit most age groups.  His musical influences include Keith Richards, John Fogerty Elvis, Chuck Berry and all the great Rock'n'rollers.  Colin's musical tastes include country, blues and Rock'n'Roll.

John, our bass player, joined Flying Visitin 2018.  John first formed a band when he was at school.  He has a wealth of experience in playing in various bands of different genres and has travelled the UK and Europe with them.  

Derek, or Fred as we all call him, first joined Flying Visit in the 1990's as a new drummer whose music taste was in soul and Mowtown.  He had to learn to play the bands mixture of Rock'n'Roll, ballards and country rock.  After a break of over a decade, we are pleased to welcome him back.
